Kitchen Tune-up Company Profile

w?> hen John Beeley, owner of Kitchen Tune-up in Mountain View, California, was a young man, he began "wandering." He hitchhiked west from his native New York, traveling along the entire Route 66. When he arrived in California he worked odd jobs such as parking cars. Eventually he went to school, earning an engineering degree from UCLA and finding a job at Xerox Corporation in network development.

In 1994 he was laid off and began thinking about other avenues of employment. "I had remodeled my house and enjoyed it immensely," he said. "I enjoyed the physical involvement in building a tangible thing. I decided I would get into something I loved-building."

Superior Quality and Customer Service

John researched his options and discovered Kitchen Tune-up, a national franchise that specializes in kitchen cabinet refacing and restoration. "I liked them because they were offering something unique," said John, "the restoration-of kitchen cabinets." John opened his Kitchen Tune-up store in 1994 and has been delighting customers with superior customer service and quality since then.

"I just wanted to do something with my hands, while offering good service and value to my clients, which is something you don't always see with contractors. But it's something I've worked hard to maintain," said John.

Restore Your Kitchen Without the Expense of Remodeling

Kitchen Tune-up offers a way to make a kitchen look new again without the expense of replacing all the cabinets and countertops. Their restoration service can clean and rejuvenate stained wood cabinets in just one day for considerably less then replacing them.

John has four hand-picked employees, all trained by him to a high level of skill, craftsmanship and customer service. "My employees are trustworthy and professional," he said. "They have to work in someone's home. They're reliable and respectful of the customers' home. They have good manners and do great work."

Certified Remodeler - Computer-Aided Design

John has been certified as a Kitchen and Bath Remodeler through NARI, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry and is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association. He is skilled at using computer aided design software to help his clients conceive and build their dream kitchen with detailed visuals and exact plans.

His commitment to customer service is reflected in the fact that Kitchen Tune-up has received the prestigious Diamond Certified designation, awarded only to those companies that score highest in customer service and satisfaction.

While kitchen cabinet refacing and restoration "tune-ups" remain the mainstay of his business, John enjoys the remodels the most. "I like the remodels because it's more of an artistic achievement," he said. "I love working with my clients to come up with the design, staying with them through the execution and creating an artful result. It blends my engineering and artistic sides."
