As an emancipated minor at sixteen, Daniel became the second largest producer of tomato seedlings in the Yuba-Sutter area. His outrageous success at that endeavor is the result of his incredible focus and an innovative machine for transplanting tomato seedlings, which Daniel Gibbs developed and built.
