Daniel R Gibbs Botanical Artist Company Profile
here is not enough room here to describe Daniel Gibbs' many talents, but suffice it to say that he's more than capable of handling your wildest landscaping and outdoor environment dreams. A brief conversation with Daniel Gibbs reveals that he has a history in horticulture and landscaping going back to his teenage years at Yuba City High School. It was there that, despite being something of an "egg-headed math geek," Daniel was encouraged to take some classes to round out his more academic leanings. The agriculture department's ornamental horticulture class fit the bill. An inspired teacher (fondly remembered as "Mr. A" by Daniel) took the class to a failing nursery where each student was encouraged to choose a discarded plant. The students were to revive their chosen plants as part of an assignment. Daniel's choice, a little rosemary plant, was the catalyst for his life's direction. The rosemary thrived under his care and he found that he had an aptitude for nursery work; Daniel had found his life's passion. As an emancipated minor at sixteen, Daniel became the second largest producer of tomato seedlings in the Yuba-Sutter area. His outrageous success at that endeavor is the result of his incredible focus and an innovative machine for transplanting tomato seedlings, which Daniel Gibbs developed and built.Daniel's path to Botanical Artist had a few branches. The first iteration of Daniel's botanical artistry consisted of eighteen year old Daniel, his shovel, and his motorcycle. This led to a stint as a bonsai landscape artist, selling his miniature creations at Northern California flea markets and swap meets, alongside potted trees and shrubs.
In 1979, Daniel passed his contractors exam and became a licensed landscape contractor with his company Daniel R Gibbs Botantical Artist. It was his opportunity to do professionally what he'd been doing for years. In terms of what he offers his landscaping clients, Daniel considers his best gifts are creativity and facilitating the transition from dream to reality. In fact, his website offers a wealth of photographs showing just how dynamic and inspired his work can be. This botanical artist has an enthusiastic following; many previous clients gush about Daniel's ability to make the impossible, possible. But Daniel R. Gibbs is also fluent in all kinds of landscaping. In addition to the creative botanical art, Daniel creates waterfalls, koi ponds, lighting designs, walkways, retaining walls and patios. Moreover, Daniel offers several ways of working with his customers to achieve their goals. As a landscape designer and botanical artist, he will consult and create new landscape designs for clients that wish to do the work themselves; he also offers a full-service design-and-build option for clients that want the whole thing handled by Daniel. For those that fall somewhere in between those categories, whether for budgetary or other reasons, Daniel creates a share-the-work plan, where he works alongside the customer in a collaborative style.
Daniel R. Gibbs' awards for his botanical artistry in landscape are many. If you're looking for your landscape contractor, landcape designer, your botanical artist, or just a partner for your outdoor landscape creations; call Daniel. He's the best man for the job.
