To Whom it May Concern:
This is a letter of recommendation for Matt Wilson in regards to his design abilities as well as comments about doing business with him. My wife and I completed a fairly exhaustive search for a landscape and pool designer before we settled on Matt. We interviewed many designers and Matt was the most relaxed, informative, and seemed to be the most willing to incorporate our wishes into his design. Our first impressions of Matt were met and exceeded during the two months we worked with him on our design.
We asked Matt to design a tropical oasis that would incorporate a pool, but still be livable and enjoyable for our young children. Matt was extremely patient with my wife's exacting requirements, always cheerful and never condescending. Since I was on a budget, Matt was always willing to give multiple iterations of his design that allowed me to weigh the different costs of each feature to try to stay within my cost constraints. He has a great deal of practical experience so was able to recommend finishes and materials that worked together. To add to the above, Matt has an amazing sense of detail. My wife and I were stunned to get his plans and note that his drawings were so detailed that they went down to the type of fasteners used to secure sprinkler systems. We vetted Matt's plans with several contractors who were very happy about not having to guess about the specifications and would be able to construct directly from the drawings. Should also note that Matt was able to give my wife and I baseline figures with which to gauge the contractor's bids.
In summation, my wife and I were extremely happy with Matt's work and will use his services again when we need more work done at our home. I will be happy to answer further questions if needed.
