Ultimate Painting Company Profile
he older brother of Jack Nissim was the first to get into the painting business. Jack worked for him during summers while in high school. After graduation he began working with his brother full time, learning the ins and outs of the business. Eventually, in the 80s, Jack earned his own contractor's license and went into business for himself with Ultimate Painting.Jack Nissim brought his own vision to Ultimate Painting. "I wanted to take better care of the customers," he said, "and be more organized in terms of responsiveness. I never procrastinate; if a customer calls, I respond. I wanted to stay on top of quality and customer satisfaction. In painting, referrals are the most important thing; most of my clients come from referrals."
Hand-Picked, Professional Crew
Jack Nissim has four to five hand-picked employees at Ultimate Painting, helping him keep the quality high. "I look for certain standards in the guys I hire," he said. "My guys have to do it my way. I don't really like to hire new painters, but when I do I work with them for a long time-at least six months-before I am sure they know how to work to our standards."
Going Beyond Customer Satisfaction
Jack's approach to customer care and satisfaction goes beyond just doing a good paint job. With each new client, he sits down to learn exactly what they're looking for, what they're envisioning for their home, so he can make sure that what he's doing is what his customer wants. If they're not sure about something, Jack Nissim will consult with them on color, products, techniques and offer suggestions that match what they're trying to accomplish.
"We're a small company; we always give our full attention to each customer," said Jack. "We do what the customer asks, but we go beyond that too. Our key is fastidious preparation before we lift a brush. That's where we spend the most of our time."
The Secret: Good Preparation
That preparation includes doing much more than the average painting contractor to get the building ready to paint. Jack and his crew at Ultimate Painting will pressure wash (if possible: some older buildings have lead in their paint which precludes this), scraping and sanding surfaces, putting on a good oil-based or latex primer, sanding again to ensure uniformity, patching low areas by caulking or spackling, and sanding those repairs yet again, all of this before putting on any paint. After all is prepared they apply the first of two or three surface coats. "We prefer three coats," said Jack, "but that depends on our client's budget. Whether we do two or three though, we do it right."
Each Job Site Left Clean
After painting, the experts at Ultimate Painting clean and wash all windows and ensure their job leaves nothing behind. "When we leave it's like we've never been there," said Jack, "Except for the beautiful new color." Each job comes with a three-year guarantee. The company is known for using only the highest-quality products to ensure it lasts a long, long time.
Jack Nissim takes great personal satisfaction in a happy customer and a job well done. "The best part is when we finish a job and stand back and it looks fantastic," said Jack. "Once a year or so I drive around and look at jobs I've done in the past to make sure everything still looks good."
Jack's company is a member in good standing of the Better Business Bureau and is proud to say that in fifteen years of membership, they have never had a complaint. Ultimate Painting also installs and repairs sheet rock and offers deck and fence staining, pressure washing and acoustic ceiling removal. Whatever they do for you, you can rest assured that it will be done correctly, neatly and professionally. Ultimately, that's what it's all about.
