Livermore Collision Center Inc Company Profile

i?> t's no surprise that Bill Miller of Livermore Collision Center has a flair for all things automotive; he was born in the motor city! Now living in Livermore with his wife and daughter, Bill has developed a reputation for his high-quality body work, especially for the restoration enthusiast. But the work done at Livermore Collision isn't limited to classic cars or automotive buffs; they serve hundreds of clients per year, repairing all kinds of cars and trucks. Bill's wife Robin laughs, "We fix lots of teenage mistakes." So far, their own teenage daughter hasn't created any business for them, buzzing around in her 1964 Fiat, "Luigi."

Professional Quality and Premium Service
Livermore Collision Center opened its doors originally as Golden State Autobody in the 1980s. In 1993 the name was changed, and the business incorporated. Nowadays, Bill and Robin Miller have a full staff, and they are very proud of the work they do. Robin told me, "Our body-guy is phenomenal, he's been with us for years." The shop is ASE (automotive service excellence), and I-CAR (Inter-industry Conference on Auto-collision Repair) certified.

No one likes to have to get work done on their car or truck, but if it's gotta be done, it's worth going to a business that knows how to get it done right. Livermore Collision Center offers customers the best service, best quality products, and they're really nice folks, too. All work is performed using state-of-the-art machines and techniques. Each of their technicians is highly trained by industry-standardized, specialized instructors. That is no small feat, considering the many upgrades that this constantly-evolving industry generates.

An Ever-Changing, and Ever-Greening Business
As an auto collision repair shop, Livermore Collision uses a lot of paint. Although the Federal Government has mandated that all collision repair shops use only PPG "WaterBorne" paint by 2010, Livermore Collision has been doing just that since last year. In fact, at the time of this interview, several shop employees were in Los Angeles attending a PPG (Pittsburg Plate Glass, a huge paint supplier) conference on "WaterBorne" use and application. "WaterBorne" is an aqua-based paint that is more environmentally friendly than the usual PPG paint products. Bill and Robin are proud to be ahead of industry standards.

Community Leaders
In addition to their reputation as a high quality, distinguished auto-body shop, Livermore Collision enjoys the respect of its peers in the business community. While these are fine things, of which Bill and Robin are justly proud, one detects a little extra glee regarding their "Creation." At parades and automotive functions around the Alameda County area, Livermore Collision's "Fordnstein," a monster truck, is a hugely popular attraction. Created from a hulking vintage Ford panel-truck and a Ford Expedition, "Fordnstein" is a big hit whenever it goes out, drawing kids of all ages.

Anyone in need of high quality, competitively-priced autobody work is encouraged to contact Livermore Collision Center. After all, at Livermore Collision Center, they "Really do meet the nicest people by accident!"
